Today we’d like to introduce you to another amazing HD Soap consultant, Sarah Hills! Check out why she chose HD products for her family and how she turned that love into a small business of her own!
I became a consultant for HD Soap over 4 years ago! I was tired of paying overly high prices for natural skincare products and had started to feel like I wanted to move my family to more simply based products. I also tried a Cocoshea Body Butter because my lovely friend Elisa DuShane was selling it. I loved it! It helped the itching on my legs to go away. My favorite product is the Clear Your Mind Lotion Bar! It has helped repair my hands immensely, as I used to get peeling, cracked skin on my fingers. I reach for it daily, and I love the scent profile of peppermint, lime, and lavender essential oils!
I also LOVE supporting small businesses! With my husband and our five kids, I moved out to the country-ish area of Comstock Park, Michigan, and I have found myself reaching more and more for local business choices because it’s in the culture of Comstock Park. During the pandemic, I really tried to choose local companies and services because I knew how very important it was to us personally as a family. I also knew it must be important to HD’s owners, the Webers, as well. I feel like HD Soap weathered the pandemic with resilience and flexibility. I think that is admirable for a small business. I also was happy to see them collaborate with other small businesses (5 Lakes Brewery) to come up with solutions to make hand sanitizer!
HD Soap has allowed me to be home with my last daughter and only work part-time before she went to school. Now it has allowed me to support my family, attend school to be a vet tech, and bring in income. Also, I LOVE selling at vendor shows! Seeing kids smile at the Unicorn Soap (kiwi and jackfruit) and Superhero Soap (black raspberry), having customers come up and tell me they love HD Soap products and how they’ve fixed their skin issues. I feel like I am proud of what I sell!
I had tried selling other direct sales companies before (not so successfully), as I felt there was a constant drive to push sales, recruit people, and I just didn’t love it. I feel like I fit into HD Soap and find myself loving the self-paced selling of soap that HD offers! I can do it on the time schedule that works best for our larger family.
I am thankful for how HD Soap and the Weber family have done their best this year to keep us all selling soap and creating income for our families.
