Spotlight: New & Improved Tiger Soap

Who else remembers when the Tiger Soap launched two years ago?!

This fun soap is one we made in our Life of a Soapmaker group on Facebook! It was a huge hit, however the soap was very high in almond oil; the addition of cinnamon essential would cause the fats to seize. Two out of every three batches had to be dumped in the trash because the soap would turn into a curdled mess.

In order for us to bring this favorite back, we simply eliminated the cinnamon essential oil and swapped it for a fragrance oil (making it less “hot”); we also removed the almond oil and increased the coconut oil (plus added a little palm oil) to avoid curdling.

It still has a yummy scent of orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, and the rest of the powerhouse ingredients stay the same! You can read more about coconut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter on our blog.

Annatto seeds have a beautiful, natural yellow color and are loaded with vitamins C, B’s, and E. It is also high in antioxidants. You can read more about it on the blog.

Turmeric is a natural antioxidant and is also naturally anti-inflammatory. It is amazing to use to revive your skin and give it a youthful glow.

Activated charcoal helps to deep clean your skin, removing impurities and pulling the dirt out of your pores. This may help your pores seem smaller, because those impurities are what make pores appear larger.

Let us know how you like this new formula! We love that we could improve the recipe and get it back into your hands.
