Our highly-requested wax melts have finally arrived!
All of our candle scents are now available in Wax Melts, which means you can grab Pineapple Colada, Tropical Tangerine, Coconut, Lily, Sky, Hope, Sparkling Sangria, and Fall. Each set of wax melts contains six bricks of wax for you to break off and drop in a wax warmer of your choice.
We have had several questions about how to use wax melts, so we thought we would answer some of those here!
What is a fragrance warmer and how is it different from a candle warmer?
Both a fragrance warmer and a candle warmer diffuse the scent from the wax into the air without the flame of a candle using electricity. However, the main difference is that a candle warmer warms up a regular candle while it is still in the jar. A fragrance warmer is only for the wax itself, which is why wax melts are in small, 1 ounce chunks of wax. There are some warmers that you can purchase that do both!
NOTE: This is still hot wax, even if there is no flame! Make sure you keep your warmer in a safe place away from pets and kids. Never move your warmer while there is liquid wax. Make sure the warmer is in a spot where it will not be bumped, and where the cord won’t be tripped over.
How do I know when to add more wax?
You will want at least a half inch of wax in the bottom of your warmer to continue using it. Simply break off another brick and add it to the tray.
You also will need new wax when you notice there is no longer a scent coming from your warmer. Since there is no flame with warmers, there is nothing burning up the wax, so the fragrance will be gone before the wax.
In both of these instances, you probably will want to remove the old wax first, though (see next question for directions).
What if I want to switch scents?
There are a couple ways that you can do this easily. One idea is to pour the wax back into your wax melt package while it is liquid. The wax is not hot enough to melt the heavy plastic, and then you can preserve what is left of your brick without wasting it!
Another idea is to let the wax completely cool and become solid in the warmer. Then turn the warmer on for about 90 seconds – just enough to melt the bottom. After the 90 second, turn off your warmer and slide your solid wax out of your warmer tray.
After you remove the wax, whichever way you choose, simply wipe out the dish with a paper towel and drop in your next wax melt.
My warmer is large and one brick is not enough; how many bricks should I add?
Make sure you read the directions on your warmer; some will tell you how many bricks. If you are unsure, simply add one brick at a time to your warmer to make sure you do not overfill it. Our wax melt bricks are one ounce each.
