Have you ever considered becoming a sales representative for HD Soap? Consultant Lacey VanCleave shares a few of the reasons she joined the team below!
In the day and age of direct sales, how are you to know which, if any, company is right for you? What a struggle, seriously. I didn’t take my (cautious) leap into direct sales with HD lightly. In fact, even after I tried product (and LOVED it), I wasn’t “sold” on why I should actually sell it. Let me be perfectly honest here: I wasn’t actually SOLD on selling HD, until about a year and a half ago….an entire year AFTER I had already begun selling. Say what?! Oh yes.
I tried my first HD products in January of 2016—the Charcoal Mask and Gardeners Square Bar, to be exact. I absolutely fell in love with them and the products, and HD’s business mission introduced the idea of direct sales. I had longed to be a mom since I was a child at the young age of 5. I remember the conversation with my mom, clear as day, right down to the yellow striped top and white shorts I was wearing. I also knew that I never wanted to “work”—I wanted to raise my babies. As I grew up, the realization of what that entailed—the great (not having someone else raise my kids) and the less than ideal (a one-income household)—became increasingly obvious. I set my sights on becoming a working, stay-at-home mom—a momtrepeneur! Having this conversation with myself in January 2016, I was way ahead of the game and convinced myself that HD was THE company I wanted to give my time to, and so I purchased my Consultant Kit in March 2016.
In April 2016, by the hand of God and nothing short of a miracle, I found out I was expecting my first child—a boy, Cole. By the time Cole was born on Thanksgiving, HD had done what I set out for it to do: it allowed me to quit my full-time, full benefits, 40+ hours-a-week job and be a stay-at-home mom to this sweet bundle of baby love! The joy, contentment, and appreciation I felt was indescribable. Not having to deal with the anxiety of dropping my kid off at daycare five days a week was humbling. Two months postpartum, God blessed me again when my husband and I found ourselves be expecting our second son. Through two pregnancies with complications, raising the first baby while expecting the second, and so many ups and downs of it all, HD was there. I was able to work my business despite the ebbs and flows of the sheer chaos that had become my life.
It wasn’t until March 2018 that I, honest-to-goodness, REALLY realized what an extraordinary company I was blessed to be a part of. I’m not talking money (though a 50% commission is unheard of in corporate America!). I’m talking friendships—sisterhood, mentorship, REAL relationships. These women? We laugh together, we cry together, we have been through the worst of the worst and the best of the best together. We’ve seen one another through death, divorce, kids graduating, kid milestones, college degrees, illness, pregnancy, and So. Much. More.
I came for the freedom of being able to raise my kids. I’ve stayed for the friendships and sisterhood, for the owners who are unmatched in the “Cool Boss” category, and because the product is so amazing, it literally sells itself; I’m just the middle man. If we sound like a great fit for you, we’d love to have you join our bunch!
